Triple Band Repeaters for Multi-Service Coverage

Triple band repeaters amplify three cellular bands in one unit. They suit buildings and outdoor areas where users rely on several bands at once, for example 2G or 3G on 900 MHz, LTE on 1800 MHz and 3G or LTE on 2100 MHz. Instead of installing three separate repeaters, one triple band platform shares the donor and service antenna systems.

Models in this group

The main family combines Band 1, Band 3 and Band 8 (900/1800/2100 MHz) and is offered in three power classes:

  • A 20 dBm digital mini repeater for small indoor areas
  • A 30 dBm ICS digital repeater with an interference cancellation system
  • A 43 dBm digital high power repeater for large buildings and outdoor coverage extension

In addition, the group includes a 20 dBm triple band digital mini repeater for 4G (LTE) and 5G networks. Its exact band plan is listed in the product datasheet.

Why digital filtering matters

With three bands in one unit, filtering becomes critical. Digital repeaters use software defined filters, so the passband in each band can be adjusted to the carriers that need amplification. As a result, unwanted signals are not amplified and the repeater uses its output power where it is needed.

When to choose a triple band repeater

A triple band repeater fits when coverage must improve on three bands at the same site and the antenna system supports all of them. Conversely, for one or two bands, see our single band RF repeaters or dual band RF repeaters. For four bands in one compact unit, see the quad band repeater. Frequently asked questions

Is a triple band repeater more efficient than three single band units?

It usually simplifies installation, cabling and monitoring. However, the right choice also depends on the output power needed per band, so compare the datasheets.

Can triple band repeaters be installed outdoors?

Several models are specified for indoor or outdoor installation. Always check the environmental rating in the datasheet.
